The Most Wonderful Gin & Tonic

This iconic cocktail was first crafted as a remedy for malaria. It was literally a tonic concocted with quinine, gin and lime. It has been traced to 1857 and will undoubtedly continue to be enjoyed for generations to come.

We’re mixing up the following two G&T cocktails on KOIN tv’s Thirsty Thursday segment–one using our elegant and smooth River Gin and the other using our Navy strength Knotty Gin.

Keep in mind that Knotty Gin is Navy strength gin at 115 proof, full of bright citrus flavours, but is gentle on the tongue. We suggest going straight up classic recipe for your first sampling of Knotty Gin, or whenever you want to enjoy the best adult beverage ever invented.

Ingredients

1 ounce of The Falls Distilling’s Knotty Gin

3 ounces of your favorite tonic water

Garnish: lime wedge

Steps

  1. Pour 1 ounce of The Falls Distilling’s Knotty Gin into a lowball glass.
  2. Fill glass with ice.
  3. Top with tonic water.
  4. Garnish with a lime wedge. We recommend squeezing the lime into your glass and then discarding it. This eliminates the hazard of getting too much of the oil from the skin of the lime into your beverage, as it can sometimes be on the bitter side.
  5. Stir all the ingredients and nod your head, knowing you are doing good work.
